Welcome to the Sacred Planet Trust

The sacred planet trust has come about to raise awareness of the Sacredness of our Planet.  After reading ‘Sacred Places - How the living Earth Seeks our Friendship’ a book by James A. Swan I realised that Burry Port was under devastating threat of being destroyed. Burry Port once affectionately known as ‘Towyn Bach’ which means pasture lands sadly over the last few years the loss of the green fields to housing developments has meant that the wildlife in our area is disappearing at a alarming rate.  Burry Port is botanically the most diverse 10km square in Wales as quoted by the Botanical Recorder for Carmarthenshire as recorded by the Llanelli Naturist Society.

Campaing

Rosina a loving devoted mother to 2 beautiful sons and glorious grand children carries on her loving caring ways with wanting to heal the world after being a general nurse and working in private nursing care homes for many years. Rosina is now devoted to spending every opportune moment to create awareness of how mass construction is destroying our local wildlife. Without wildlife humans have only 5 years left on this planet.

Burry Port Wildlife Appeal

The Sacred Place where I am entrusted has an inlet of estuarine waters and wetlands and is adjacent to the Gower Coast, a place of ‘outstanding beauty.’ However, where I live, the beauty of the estuary is raw, sometimes bleak with bitter offshore winds, but due to Money, Greed of attractive homes and the desire to live where it is technically a FLOOD PLAIN AREA.

Pembrey Peninsular

Pembrey Peninsula which is a haven for rare insects such as the Marsh Fritillary butterfly and the High Brown Fritillary is a valuable breeding hinter land.  It’s recognised as having a wider diversity of moths, insects and butterflies than any other location in Britain.  It was also a haven for rare and unusual invertebrates.  The forests at Pembrey are so big and dense and in certain parts it’s easy to get lost, even people on horseback..
